Britney Spears’ new album, Britney Jean, is arguably the worst album the popstar has ever put out.

Spears’ album has 14 new songs that take her music to a new and different level, but not necessarily in a good way.

On her album there is a song called “Perfume.” The song is about Spears having a guy who she thinks is cheating, so she wants to mark her territory by leaving the smell of her perfume on him. This isn’t her best idea for a song because it doesn’t make sense how if someone thinks a guy is cheating on them that they would make him smell like girl rather than doing something about it.

Also, if a guy is cheating, why would someone make the other girl leave, instead of just leaving the guy? Very empowering, Britney.

Another song, “Chillin’ with you,” features her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. This song doesn’t really fit Spears’ style and again, the lyrics aren’t her best. But then again, it’s not like she writes her own music. Honestly, the song is just dumb and doesn’t make sense. Jamie Lynn did well on her part and made the song sound a little better, but her effort still wasn’t enough to make the song enjoyable.

Additionally, her video for “Work B****” is indescribable. Although she’s 32 and a mother of two, Spears is still trying to look sexy, and of course the song doesn’t even have anything to do with that. It’s about one working hard to accomplish their goals. Why is it necessary to be half naked to sing about working hard? Be it, that’s basically how she got where she is today, but it’s not a very good message.

Her best song on the album is “Alien” because it’s catchy and creative. There’s not too much going on in the song. Instead, it’s just simple and that’s what Spears needs to stick to.

Comparing her new album to her albums from the 90s, there’s such a huge difference. Not because of the music changes in time, but because she just sings like she’s a completely different person.

Her whole album is way too personal and the lyrics just aren’t that good. In most of the songs it just seems as if she is trying too hard to be different.
